Coen & Jaya

Coen loves his little sister to bits! In fact she is somewhat spoilt cause I can't just leave her as he comes and tries to pick her up or failing that, give her a full body hug. Here he is loving her.

We have a tradition that the kids make each other a small gift. This year Kaisha sewed a bag for Coen out of felt and Coen 'made' hair ribbons for Kaisha.

Kaisha will have a Birthday Party in early January when both Grandma & Grandpa and Nana & Granddad can come.
And one last random Jaya photo
Jaya is an angel so far. She has a bit of Jaundice which is probably contributing so just sleeps all the time. Now that we have Christmas and Birthday's over we have been enjoying just relaxing and having lots of cuddles.

Jaya Esme Wood

Hello everyone, Nick here.
Just a quick post to share with you the day the 5th member of our family arrived.

At about 6:30am Melissa's waters broke, we quickly tried to get Kaisha & Coen fed and dressed. By 7:45am we dropped them in the door of their daycare (literally). At 8:00am we arrived at the Royal Brisbane Women's Hospital, baby was already well on the way.

8:20am Jaya Esme Wood was born. 3.41kg or 7lb 8oz

Mel and Jaya are both doing well. Jaya is totally different to the first two. She is already feeding like a champion, in-between sleeps.

And what everyone is waiting for:
Warning: Some photos below were taken quite soon after birth.

Coen loves to vacuum - it drive me crazy!

Coen gardening
It was quiet one day and I couldn't find Coen. Eventually I found him here. He love to garden and can often be found digging in the dirt.

They were in a plane - flying to the north pole to see Santa

Yes she sleeps with her legs crossed!
 At the petting zoo
Coen's favourite animal was the ducks

Kaisha wasn't sure

Bike riding

Book reading

Having a picnic with dolly
Kaisha will only eat pizza if she helps make it.

More family reading time

Yep, we are at this stage again.

Camping at Cotton Tree

Last weekend we went camping at Cotton Tree with Anna and Geoff on the Sunshine Coast. It was the first time I've pulled my camera out in months. A lovely time was had by all.
Kaisha biking

Coen on his bike

Going for a bike ride with Grandad

Playing in Granddad's boat

Nick taking down our new tent
We bought a quick put up tent. It took Nick 20minutes to put it up and take it down all by himself! It has all the poles included and I imagine with some practise will only take 10 minutes to put up and take down.
Coen taking a nap on his favourite person

Kaisha doing what she does best, being a diva

At the playground

Kite surfers

Coen enjoying his lunch
We were all sitting at a table and Coen toddled off, moved the table over to the chair and climbed up.

Watching dad set up the tent

Doing the housekeeping

Inside towards the back.
The tent is heavy canvas (we are sick of getting wet), 3mx4.8m with an optional divider to make it into two rooms.
