Professional Photos

I've been wanting to get some professional photos of Kaisha since she turned 2 but have never got around to it. I'm not a huge fan of the standard studio type shots so was looking for something a bit different. On thursday we spent the morning at the beach having a ball while Laura Koolik took photos. It was so much fun! We had a tea party and played in the waves. Lucky for us it was a record high of 27 that day. There is a sneak peak on her website, so click here to see them. I can't wait to see the rest, I'm sure they will all be amazing.

Every Saturday at 7:20 Nick wakes Kaisha up to take her to swimming lessons. She comes bounding into our bed and changes into her togs and then her and daddy go off to "learn to swim" while I get a sleep in. YAY! The lesson is from 8:00 to 8:30. This week Kaisha had new togs which she was extra excited about. At the lessons they learn to slide into a pool, jump in, pull themselves out, kick to the edge and that sort of thing. We enrolled Kaisha as she has always been fairly wary of water, to the point that she won't get into the bath, sometimes for months on end. (We did wash her, but it involved a lot of screaming). It has definitely helped and she now loves lolling in the bath for ages. Hopefully this summer she will also be more confident when we go to the pool or beach too.

Click here to see photos on Louise's blog of Kaisha's first sleep over at Reubens. Because Kaisha wasn't around I didn't really take any photos this weekend so don't really have anything to post on. We had a lovely date night on Friday night and it was very strange to come home and not go and check on the gorgeous sleeping beauty. Of course we didn't really sleep in as we are so used to being woken up but we did enjoy not being dragged out of bed. On sunday morning when Kaisha arrived at my bedside at about 5am her words were "Mama, on Friday's I go to Reubens". So I guess she will be coming back this week too Louise!
