My Birthday

I had my birthday a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately I came down sick and spent the day in bed with a fever. Two weeks later my throat is still not quite right. Not so much fun but Kaisha completely enjoyed the day. She decorated a cake for me and blew out my candles and opened my presents. Nick took her down to the shops the night before and she picked out a present at crazy clarks a discount store. She was allowed to pick anything she wanted and I was expecting to get a toy of some kind. Instead I got the biggest box of chocolates she could find and a card with balloons on it. Very cute! The only pictures we have is of the cake which we did early in the morning before I started feeling rotten.

Kaisha Update

Kaisha is so excited about Christmas this year. We put the tree up at the end of November because she was asking so much. Of course the lower branches get re-decorated every few days. I also get asked every day if Santa is coming today. I'm getting alot of mileage out of "Santa won't come if you don't ......". And turning on the xmas tree lights every night has turned into a ritual where Kaisha starts asking at about 4pm if its dark enough yet to turn the lights on. Eventually at about 6 I let her to stop the nagging! I haven't put any presents under the tree yet because I don't think Kaisha could stand the suspense.




Kaisha made her own sandwich the other day all by herself. First she got her stool and took it over to the fridge and got out the butter. Then she moved the stool over to the bench and proceeded to make her sandwhich. It had sooooo much butter on it but she ate the whole thing.


Kaisha's favourite game at the moment is to make herself a bed. She does it everyday with whatever materials she can find and in whatever location. Then she makes dolly a bed beside her and they both go to sleep. In the picture below Dolly is in the basket with a blanket over the top. She is finally at an age where she will play by herself and spends hours giving her dolly bath's and putting them to bed. I'm loving the independence.

Misc

I haven't been using my camera a whole lot lately. The below are just a couple of random shots from the last few weeks. The plan is to actually charge the battery on it and use it especially in the lead up to Christmas. We will be putting our tree up soon and Kaisha is very excited about Christmas and Santa coming. I'm already getting good mileage out of "Santa won't come if your not a good girl" Lets just hope it lasts for the next month!



In other news I now have a replacement at work. Its brilliant! She does all the lab work and I sit at the desk and do all the paper work which means that my sciatica is alot better and I have so much more energy.

Kaisha's 3rd birthday.

We had Kaisha's Birthday today. Her birthday isn't actually until the 22nd of December but as she is young enough, and I wanted to have the time to give her a proper birthday, I decided to pick a day and do it early. Below are heaps of pictures of the day, be warned!

We all had a great day and Kaisha was exhausted by the end but held up like a trooper. She had fallen asleep tonight before I even got out of the room which is a first.

BOY!

We are doing blue this time around. I had my 20week scan today and everything went really well.


This photo was taken by Kaisha and I thought I looked kinda glowing finally. At week 19 the nausea has FINALLY stopped and I am starting to develop a normal relationship with food again. Unfortunately the sciatica is starting to hurt just like it did last time round. Ahh the joys of being pregnant. I'm getting lots of kicks and nudges these days which I love and am still really tired and needing a nap if I can manage it. Yesterday I put a DVD on for Kaisha and went to bed as she was refusing to sleep and yelling the house down. I woke up 40minutes later to this.

Yes that is toilet paper. She had shredded half a roll.

Fish & Chips at Redcliffe

We had fish and chips at Redcliffe with a bunch of friends last week. The mosquito's were fierce but the sunset was amazing and the kids got on relatively well so a fun time was had by all.
