While Mum and Dad were over we re-did both the front gardens and re-planted the veggie garden. Hydrangea's in the front garden. They only get a little morning sun and very late afternoon sun so we will see how they do.  The beginning of September was spent with both the kids sick with colds and coughs. We went for a walk at Redcliffe with Beth, Beau and Delta. So I finally got around to weighing Coen again. Clothed and with a nappy on he weighs 4.34kg, which is 9.5lbs. If he had gone full term he would have been a very big baby! At this same point Kaisha weighed 3.83kg or 8.4lbs, so a pound less than Coen.

We finally got around to weighing Coen on Monday. He has put on over 500g in 12 days and now weighs just over 3kg! Last night he finally went back to feeding every 3 to four hours but for the 24 hours prior he fed every 2 hours or less which was exhausting. I don't remember Kaisha ever being quite so hungry! Not sure if it is a result of those extra 2 weeks inside or just because he is a hungry

Coen was finally discharges from hospital on Wednesday. Nick and I spent Monday and Tuesday nights staying in the parent craft apartment at the hospital. Coen had his first bath a couple of days ago. He hated getting in but loved it once he was in.Skin to skin cuddles with mumCoen is doing well, we had 3 really good breastfeeds on wednesday and 2 on thursday. We have to have 4 to 5 a day consistently with weight gain before we can take him home. He was tested for Jaundice on thursday as he is beginning to look a bit yellow and was quite sleepy.

BOY!We are doing blue this time around. I had my 20week scan today and everything went really well.This photo was taken by Kaisha and I thought I looked kinda glowing finally. At week 19 the nausea has FINALLY stopped and I am starting to develop a normal relationship with food again. Unfortunately the sciatica is starting to hurt just like it did last time round. We spent the last week in Kingscliffe with mum and dad. So nice to have a proper beach holiday! The jacaranda's are blooming which means its Spring but there hasn't been much sign of it around here until this week. Kaisha is sick, AGAIN. She has only been well for about 2 weeks since May. This started out as a cold 3 weeks ago and turned into a throat infection with antibiotics yet again. Every Saturday at 7:20 Nick wakes Kaisha up to take her to swimming lessons. I can sew!!! I made Kaisha a skirt on thursday and am very proud of myself. The last time I made a skirt was when I was about 13. First I sewed the right side of the fabric to the wrong side. Kaisha had her first friend to sleep over this weekend. Her and Reuben had so much fun together, highlights were:Going through the new tunnel under the Brisbane river on the way home. Meet Bunny, she likes to hop hop hop according to Kaisha.She is made from felt(polyester), wool(acrylic) and I used an old pair of stockings to stuff her - hence the lumpy look. She only took a few hours to make. I looked after one of my friends little girls on thursday. Kaisha and Maeve had such a fun day playing together. Kaisha is 2 weeks older than Maeve. Laura went to the toilet last night and came straight out and said "there is a frog in the toilet" I looked at her like she was crazy thinking where has Kaisha got a toy frog from to put in the toilet.This is what I saw.Thank goodness Laura is brave.
